Writing and Publishing a Book

In December 2019, I gained the experience of co-writing and co-publishing a book. This was thanks to Ms Brigitte’s Junior Writers program.

It was a 6 month program and I learnt a lot. My most favourite this was learning how to edit. The most important lesson I learnt from the class was how to extend my essays, which was to put in detail and description into everything. We also worked outdoors at times to get a feel of our surroundings. I liked this very much.

The book launch although being a novel experience, it was surprisingly somewhat boring. It was held at MPH and we just sat down throughout the entire process, only getting up to collect our certificate and sign the book. The only joy was at the end when I went around getting everyone’s signature.
